How Text My Wedding started
David Groechel and his wife Renee got married in May 2021. When their plans changed, they had no way to let every guest know, and Text My Wedding was born shortly after.
Weddings run on details guests need at the right moment: the RSVP deadline, the shuttle time, the venue that moved, the brunch the next morning. A group chat buzzes every phone with every reply, and an update posted to a website only reaches the guests who think to check it.
So we built one place to manage everyone you've invited and every message you need to send. Each guest gets their own text, and the answers you ask for come back to you instead of the whole guest list.
How it works

Bring your guest list
Import the spreadsheet you already have, including exports from The Knot, Zola, and Joy, and keep families together as households. Adding guests is free, with no limit on guest count. Guest list and groups

Write or schedule a text
Send to everyone, a group, or one guest. Pick a time in your wedding's time zone and it goes out on its own, or edit and cancel it before then. How sending works

Guests get a regular text
Each guest gets their own text from your wedding's local US number. There's no app to install, no group thread, and links open in their browser. What guests see

Answers come back to you

How we handle your guests' information
Your guests didn't sign up for Text My Wedding, you did. These are the rules every wedding's texts follow.
Reply STOP at any time
A guest who texts STOP gets a confirmation and no further messages. You'll see who opted out, and they're skipped from then on.
No one sees anyone else's number
Every text is one-to-one, so guests never see each other's phone numbers or replies.
Weddings only, with consent
Couples may only text guests who agreed to hear from them, and only about their wedding. Marketing and non-wedding use aren't allowed.
We never sell personal information
Phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with anyone for marketing. We handle guest details on the couple's behalf, to run their guest list, texts, RSVPs, address collection, and related wedding services.
Shared photos are screened
Photos and videos guests send are checked automatically for inappropriate content, and anything flagged stays hidden until the couple reviews it.

Who runs it
Text My Wedding is operated by DFM Software, LLC. We work with couples directly and also partner with wedding planners who coordinate guest communication on their clients' behalf.
How we charge
Couples pay once per wedding, not a monthly fee, with plans from $19. Creating your wedding is free, and so is sending test texts to your own phone. Planners have their own $299/year plan. Everything is on the pricing page.
