You designed something beautiful in Canva. Now get it in front of people. Text My Wedding turns your Canva invitation into a text message that lands on every guest's phone — with RSVP tracking, automatic reminders and real replies you can answer.

Keep it. Canva is a great place to design an invitation or build a simple wedding site — it is a poor place to distribute one. There is no guest list, no delivery tracking, and no way to nudge the twelve people who never replied. That is the part we do.
Download your design once, upload it here, and Text My Wedding handles everyone who has to see it: the send, the follow-ups, the replies and the headcount. Nothing about your Canva design changes, and you never have to rebuild it somewhere else.
Five steps, about twenty minutes, and no design work to redo. This is the same flow whether you made a single-image invitation, a save the date, or a full Canva website.
In Canva, open your invitation and choose Share, then Download. Pick PNG or JPG for a single-image invitation, or PDF Standard if you designed a two-sided card. Keep the file under about 5 MB so carriers deliver it as a picture message rather than compressing it into mush.
Create your event in Text My Wedding, open a new message and attach the file you just downloaded. You will see exactly how the invitation and your wording will land in a guest's thread before anything sends.
Paste from a spreadsheet, upload a CSV or Excel file, or add guests by hand. Each guest needs a mobile number — landlines cannot receive texts — and duplicates are flagged during the import so nobody gets the invitation twice.
One or two lines do the work: who is getting married, the date and place, and how to RSVP. If your Canva site has the long version, put that link on the last line so guests who want travel, registry or dress-code details can tap through.
Send the invitation immediately, then queue the reminders. Every follow-up can go to a group rather than the whole list, so the people who already replied never hear about it again.
Bringing a guest list over from a wedding website instead? Our guest import guide walks through CSV uploads, column mapping and groups.

A link to a Canva site asks a guest to tap, wait for a page to load, and figure out what you want from them. An image that appears in the thread is understood in a second and a half — which is exactly how long most people give a message.
So we send the artwork as a picture message with your wording underneath, and put the link on the last line for the guests who want the full details. You get both: the invitation people actually look at, and the website that answers their questions.

A form can collect a response. It cannot go find the people who never filled one out. This sequence does, and it is the single biggest reason couples finish their guest count on time.
Your Canva design, the details, and how to reply.
"Hi Marcus, just making sure this reached you — can you make it?"
"RSVPs close Friday and we have to give the venue a number. Yes or no?"
Short, personal, no link. This is the one that clears the stragglers.
These are not competitors. Canva makes the artwork; we make sure it is seen and answered. Here is where each one stops.

The practical details couples ask us about most: file formats, wording, what to do about a Canva website, and how to handle the guests whose numbers you do not have.
PNG is the safest choice for a single-image invitation. Export at roughly 1080 × 1350 — portrait, the same proportions as a phone screen — and the design fills the thread without anyone having to zoom.
JPG is fine and produces a smaller file, which matters if your design is photo-heavy. PDF works too, but it arrives as an attachment that a guest has to tap to open, which is one more step than you want between them and the date of your wedding.
A free Canva account exports PNG and JPG, and that is all we need. Pro matters for transparent backgrounds, premium stock and brand kits — things that affect how the design looks, not whether it can be sent.
The same is true of Canva's website feature: whatever you can publish on a free plan can be linked in a text message.
The artwork carries the mood. The text carries the instruction. Three things belong in it: who is getting married and when, where the full details live, and the single action you want — usually replying yes or no by a date.
Keep it under about 300 characters so it stays one message. Anything longer gets split by the carrier and can arrive out of order.
Canva Websites publish to a my.canva.site address, or to your own domain if you connected one. Either way it is a normal link, so it goes in a text message like any other.
We shorten and track that link, so you can see who opened it. That distinction matters more than it sounds: a guest who opened the site and did not RSVP needs a different message from one who never tapped at all.
Most couples start with a spreadsheet full of addresses and about two thirds of the mobile numbers. Text My Wedding gives you a shareable invite link and QR code that guests use to add their own number — no account, no app, one tap.
Drop it in the family group chats, put it on your Canva site, or send it to the numbers you already have and ask people to pass it along. The list fills itself in over a week or two.
Plenty of couples print the Canva design and mail it, then text the same artwork a few days after the mail should have landed. It reads as a courtesy rather than a duplicate — and it gives you a delivery receipt that the post office does not.
It also gives the guests who lost the reply card a way to answer without calling your mother, which is the actual mechanism by which RSVP deadlines get met.
Copy any of these, attach your Canva design above it, and you are done. Swap the names, dates and link for your own.

We're getting married! 🤍 Sept 11 · Hudson, NY. The invitation's attached — reply YES or NO by Aug 1 so we can give the caterer a number.
Save the date, Marcus! Amelia & Julian · 09.11 · Hudson, NY. The formal invitation is coming this spring. Nothing to do yet — just don't book anything that weekend. 🤍
Hi Marcus — we added travel and hotel info to our site: ameliaandjulian.my.canva.site. Rooms are held until July 15 under "Hart Reyes."
Yes. Download your design from Canva as a PNG, JPG or PDF, attach it in Text My Wedding, and send it to your whole guest list as a picture message. Guests see the artwork in their normal messages app — no link to open and no app to install.
No. A free Canva account exports PNG and JPG, which is all that is required. Canva Pro only affects the design itself — premium assets, transparent backgrounds and brand kits.
Canva can collect responses through a form or a website, but it cannot chase the guests who never filled one out. With Text My Wedding guests simply reply to the text — YES, NO or a number — and your headcount updates automatically. You can use both: the form for detail, the text reply for everyone who will not fill out a form.
PNG at roughly 1080 × 1350 pixels, kept under about 5 MB. Portrait proportions fill a phone screen, and staying under the size limit keeps carriers from compressing the image. PDFs work but arrive as an attachment, which is one extra tap for guests.
Yes. Paste your my.canva.site link into the message and we will shorten and track it, so you can see who opened it and follow up only with the guests who did not.
You get a preview of how the message and image will appear before you send, and oversized files are compressed so carriers deliver them intact. Portrait images at phone proportions are the most reliable across iPhone and Android.
