Collect mailing addresses on the Addresses page: choose Guests → Addresses in the app navigation. Every submission saves straight to your guest list, so you can see who has responded, remind the households that haven't, and export a clean list for your stationer.
Choose the right link
- Shareable address link — one link and QR code for the whole event, shown at the top of the Addresses page. Anyone with the link can add their address without logging in. Post it on your wedding website, in an email, or anywhere you would share a link.
- Private household link — tied to one guest or household already on your list. On the Addresses page, choose Copy link beside a household that hasn't responded, or open any household and choose Copy their form link. From Guests → Guest list, open a guest's row menu and choose Share address form.
- Texted links — Text households their link on the Addresses page, or More message tools → Address Collection in the message composer, texts each recipient their own private link so every address matches itself to the right party.
Do not post a private household link publicly. It is tied to a specific guest or household. Use the shareable address link for anything public.
What the form always asks
- Guest name — the shareable link asks the person to enter their first and last name first. Private links already know who the guest is.
- Street address and City, state, ZIP — always required. Guests can search for their address to fill these in.
Choose optional fields
Open Customize your form → Edit form on the Addresses page. Tick a field to ask for it, then tick Required if guests must answer it. Required is only available for fields that are turned on.
- Who's in your party — names of everyone in the household. Saved as the household name, which becomes the envelope label. Off by default.
- Apartment, suite, etc. — the second address line. On and optional by default.
- Country — off by default. Turn it on when some guests live outside the US.
- Email address — on and optional by default. Saved to the guest's record in your guest list.
- Phone number — off by default, and only asked on the shareable link. The number is saved only when the guest also agrees to receive texts and the number is valid. A phone number already on a guest is never replaced.
- Note to the couple — an open text box. Off by default. Open the household on the Addresses page to read it.
The Welcome message appears under your names on every address link, up to 500 characters. Personal links add “Hey [first name]!” in front automatically. Leave it blank to use the default wording.
Choose Save form to apply your changes; saving updates every existing address link. Reset fields to default restores the default fields.
Where submissions go
The mailing address is saved on the guest and their household, which is the shared address used for the whole invitation.
On the shareable link, Text My Wedding looks for exactly one guest on your list with the same first and last name. If it finds one, the address is added to that guest. Otherwise the person is added as a new guest in their own household. An email or phone number from the shareable link is added only when the matched guest does not already have one. To avoid duplicate guests, send private links to people who are already on your list.
Track and remind guests
The Addresses page counts households as Address in, Waiting, or No phone. Filter the list by All, Address in, or Outstanding, or search for a household.
- Choose Remind beside a household, select several households and choose Remind [number] selected, or choose Remind all outstanding.
- Each reminder is one text to the household contact with their private link, and uses one message from your plan. Free events, or events without enough messages left, see an upgrade option instead.
- Households marked No phone cannot be texted. Copy their private link and send it another way.
Export addresses
Choose Export CSV on the Addresses page to download addresses.csv with Household, Contact, Phone, Email, Address, Apt / Unit, City, State, ZIP, and Country. Notes are not included in the file; open a household on the Addresses page to read its note.
Signup link for new guests
To let new guests join your list and receive texts, use Guests → Guest list → Share signup link instead. That form asks for a name, mobile number, and permission to text, plus an optional email. With Ask for a mailing address turned on, which is the default, it also asks for a mailing address that the guest can skip.
