Wedding updates by text
Wedding updates that reach everyone before they ask
Plans change. When they do, text every guest the new details in a minute, from your wedding's own number, with each guest's name on it. Then see who it reached and follow up with anyone it missed.
- Reaches everyone at once
- Send now or schedule
- Delivery for every guest
How it's sent
One update, every guest, about a minute
Pick All guests or just the group it affects, write the update, and send it right away. If you'd already scheduled a text that's now wrong, open it from Scheduled and edit or cancel it before it goes out.
- 1
Pick who gets it
All guests, or a group you made, like Wedding party or Shuttle riders. Someone in two of the groups you pick still gets one text.
- 2
Write it once
Personalize drops in each guest's first name. Add a photo, a map, or an Attachment Page with the details.
- 3
Send now or schedule it
Pick a date and time in your event's timezone, or send right away. Send it to “Just me” first to see exactly what guests get.
Wedding update text wording
The updates couples send most, written to be read in five seconds.
- 1
When the venue changes
The move
Hi Priya, a quick update: the ceremony is moving inside to the Grand Ballroom. Same time, 4:00 PM. Everything else stays the same! - 2
When you add something
The new detail
Hi Priya! We've added a sparkler send-off at 10:45 PM. Sparklers are on us - just meet out front! - 3
When guests need to plan
The practical one
Hi Priya! Parking at the venue is limited, so please take the hotel shuttle on Saturday. Pickup details:tmwed.us/Pk2mW
Most last-minute updates are timeline changes. Plan the day first with our free wedding timeline generator.
How to send an update guests won't miss
An update only works if it's short and arrives once.
- Lead with what changed and what stays the same, so nobody has to text back to check.
- Send it only to the groups it affects. Shuttle riders don't need the parking update.
- Check the message's delivery list afterward, and use “Send to more” for anyone it didn't reach.
- Put longer details on an Attachment Page and link it, since texts are capped at 400 characters.
Every text, sent the way guests want it
The same tools behind every message you send from Text My Wedding.
Private, one-to-one texts
Every guest gets their own text. Nobody sees anyone else's number, and there's no group thread to reply all to.
Replies come only to you
When a guest texts back, it goes to your wedding's number, not to 150 other phones. Read and answer replies in the app on Plus and up.
Their name, not “Hi all”
Personalize adds each guest's first name, last name, or household name to the same message.
Groups for every audience
Make groups like Wedding party, Shuttle riders, or Out-of-town guests, and text only the people who need it.
Scheduled ahead
Write messages weeks early and they go out on their own, at the time you picked, in your event's timezone.
Delivery for every guest
See who each message reached and which numbers failed, then fix the number and send to the guests who missed it.

Add your guests, write the message once, and pick when it goes out.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send an update right away?
Yes. Write the message, choose Send now, and confirm. It goes out to every guest in the groups you picked.
What if I already scheduled a message that's now wrong?
Open it from your Scheduled messages and edit it or delete it. Deleting asks you to confirm, and the text won't be sent.
How do I know who got the update?
Open the message to see each guest's status: delivered, undelivered, opted out, or no phone. When some guests missed it, Send to more texts just them.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests get a normal text message from your event's number. Links open in their phone's browser, with no account or password.
What do guests see the first time you text them?
Just before your first message, each guest gets a one-time notice that they'll receive texts for your wedding, with HELP and STOP instructions. Your message follows right after.
How much does it cost?
Each text to each guest uses one message from your plan, and replies from guests are free. Plans are one-time purchases starting at $19 for 50 messages, and every account starts free.
