Export from Joy
Open the guest list in Joy and choose Export All Guests in the toolbar to download a CSV. Because third-party controls and column names change, use Joy’s current help center if the export option has moved.
Import into Text My Wedding
- Open Guests → Import from spreadsheet.
- Upload the Joy CSV.
- Choose the worksheet with one person per row.
- Map names, phone, email, address, and party or household columns.
- Map a tags column to Groups only when you want to keep its comma-separated tags as Text My Wedding texting groups.
- Review the household preview and complete the import. Duplicates are listed in the results after the import.
If the export combines first and last name, map it to first name and clean up names before using personalization tokens. Guests without phone numbers still import when their row has a party or household value, so they stay in their household's RSVP.
