Export from Joy
Open the guest list in Joy and use its Export All Guests option to download a spreadsheet. Because third-party controls and column names change, use Joy’s current help center if the export option has moved.
Import into Text My Wedding
- Open Guests → Import CSV.
- Upload the Joy CSV or Excel file.
- Choose the worksheet with one person per row.
- Map names, phone, email, address, and party or household columns.
- Map tags or groups only when you want to keep them as Text My Wedding texting groups.
- Review the household and duplicate previews, then complete the import.
If the export combines first and last name, map it to first name and clean up names before using personalization tokens. Guests without phone numbers can still be stored in households and RSVP parties.
